Pinwheel Medallion Crochet Pattern, Laura Wheeler 974

Crocheted Square:   This crocheted square in the Pinwheel design can be made of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton or Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. The squares joined form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs and other articles.  These large squares can be crocheted at 12 or 16 inches in diameter.  

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.   This pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 974.  The newspaper description:  "You'll crochet these pinwheel squares so easily and finish them so quickly! They look lovely singly or when joined".
