Pineapple Chair Set, Rose Filet Center, Mail Order E-1235

Pineapple Chair Set with Filet Crochet Center in Rose Design:  This pattern gives directions for (filet) crochet the chair set pictured.  Follow the directions, keeping a weather-eye on the charts, and make the rows as numbered. Simple filet crochet forms the center oval, which must be made first; then the pineapples are added; and an easy-to-make edging completes each lacy piece.  

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Ellen Bruce E-1235 by the Needlework Bureau.  The newspaper description:  "The rose motif in this pretty chair set is worked in filet crochet and finished with the beautiful pineapple design".

Material:

• About 700 yards Mercerized Crochet Cotton No.20. Use a No.10 steel crochet-hook.
• This will make a set with Head Rest 15" x 17" and two Arm Rests 10" x 13" (after blocking).
