Patriotic Eagle Motif Afghan Knit Pattern

Knitted Eagle :  This pattern gives you instructions to knit (crochet edges) a square block afghan, where every other block contains the Proud American Eagle symbol in alternating colors of blue and gold, and then surrounded in fringe. The blocks are knitted and then the eagles are separately embroidered to an attached chart. Instructions to knit a matching pillow are also included. The finished afghan is 62 x 72 inches. 

Materials Required: 

• - AMERICAN THREAD "DAWN" KNITTING WORSTED 15 - 4 oz. skeins White for afghan and pillow, 1 - 4 oz. skein each Antique Gold or National Blue for pillow and afghan 
• - or DAWN "SAYELLE"* 17 - 4 oz. skeins White for afghan and pillow 1 - 4 oz. skein each Antique or 
• National Blue for pillow and afghan 
• - 1 Pro Knitting Needles No.6 OR ANY SIZE NEEDLES WHICH WILL RESULT IN STITCH GAUGE BELOW 
• - Plastic Crochet Hook Size H. 
• - 1 yd. lining 
• - Kapok or shredded foam rubber for pillow 

GAUGE: 5 sts = 1 inch; 13 rows - 2 inches
