Description

Crocheted Doilies:  These crocheted doilies, made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton, can be used as buffet and luncheon sets or as odd doilies. For smaller finer doilies use No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 12 steel crochet hook.  The oval doily is crocheted at 16 x 30 inches; the round doilies are 15 inches and 8 inches in diameter.  

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 6328 in 1939.

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS:   Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 7 steel crochet hook;  The large oval doily requires approximately 340 yards of cotton; the large round doily requires approximately 103 yards of cotton and the small round doily requires approximately 22 yards of cotton.
