Oval Pineapple Crochet Doily Pattern Design 2243

Crocheted Doilies: This pattern contains directions for crocheting the doilies shown. These crocheted doilies can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. They can be used as buffet and luncheon sets or as odd doilies. The oval doilies feature a pineapple motif and can be made in a large size of 15 x 36 or 11 x 24 inches, or a smaller sizes of 12 x 16 or 8 x 12 inches.

This is a Mail Order Pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 2243 in 1939.  The newspaper description:  "A long doily 15 x 36 inches in string does for centerpiece or scarf, the small one for place mats".

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS:   Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 7 steel crochet hook or  No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook.
