Oval Centerpiece Pineapple Doily No 5607

Crocheted Doily: This pattern has instructions to crochet the doily shown. A large oval doily, with two full pineapple rounds and scalloped edges, it measures approx. 15 x 17 inches, The official description : "This oval-shaped doily adapts itself advantageously to the coffee-table in the living room, occasional table in the hallway, or reading-table in the library or den. Versatile, too, in that it may be used as a head rest on a chair-back, if preferred--fine for an easy-chair that has arms of polished wood and would need no arm-rests".

This is a mail order pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot 5607 in 1955.   This pattern was included in the 1956 Anne Cabot Needlework Album.  

Materials:  About 375 yards of six-cord mercerized crochet cotton, No. 20. Needle;   Steel Crochet Hook No. 10 – (Standard Size)
