Misses Saddle Sleeve Jacket Knitting Pattern

Spectator Jacket: This pattern gives directions for knitting, crochet trim, the jacket pictured. This attractive jacket, vintage 1962, features long cabled saddle sleeves, a tall cowl neckline, front button band, patch pockets and contrast trim in crochet.

SIZES: Directions for size 12. Changes for sizes 14, 16, 18 are in parentheses.

• Body Bust Size:32" (34"-36"-38").
• Blocked Bust Size: 39" (41"-43"-45").

MATERIALS:

• Columbia-Minerva Knitting Worsted, 6 (7-7-7) 4-oz. skeins main color (MC) ; 1 skein contrasting color (CC) for edging.
• Knitting needles Nos. 5, 7 and 8; one dp needle for cable pat. (Or English sizes 8, 6 and 5.)
• Steel crochet hook No. 0.
• Two stitch holders.
• Eight 3/4" buttons.
• 1/4 yard nylon tulle. 1 ¼ yards 1 ½" grosgrain ribbon.
• One snap fastener.

GAUGE: 5 sts = 1" ; 6 rows = 1" (stockinette st, No. 7 needles). 6 sts = 1"; 7 rows = 1" (cable pat, No. 8 needles).
