Middy Blouse Knitting Pattern

Middy Blouse: This pattern gives instructions to knit, crochet detail, the blouse pictured. A cute design - called a Middy Blouse -- featuring the large sailor type collar. The loose fitting blouse is worked in two colors of Spinnerin Pilgrim (Substitute). The pullover blouse, with the V-neckline, is below hip length with short sleeves. The collar and sleeve cuffs have a contrast band. The pattern is vintage 1956.

SIZES: Directions for size 12. Changes for sizes 14, 16, 18 are in parentheses.

• Body Bust Size: 32" (34"-36"-38" ).
• Blocked Bust Size : 34" (36"-38"-40" ).

MATERIALS:

• Spinnerin Shrink-Resistant Pilgrim, 6 (6-7-7) 2-oz. pull skeins red, main color (MC); 1 (2-2-2) skeins white, contrasting color (CC).
• Knitting needles Nos. 2 and 3. (Or English sizes 11 and 10.)
• Steel crochet hook No. l.
• 1/2 yard seam binding.
• Three stitch holders.
• Tapestry needle.

GAUGE: 7 sts=l" ; 10 rows=l" (stockinette st, No. 3 needles).
