Mans Sleeveless Slipon: This pattern gives directions for knitting the slipover pictured. The official 1953 magazine description: "The head of the house in a well bred slipon, knit of a super soft yarn. It's sleeveless, to wear under city tweeds, handsome with country slacks. The pattern is a neat basket-weave. Ribbing at V-neck, armholes, waist."
Sizes: Directions are for small size (36-38). Changes for medium size (40-42) and large size (44-46) are in parentheses.
Materials:
Bernat Super Cashmere and Wool, 7 (8-9) 2/3-oz. balls.
1 set dp needles No. 1;
straight knitting needles Nos. 1 and 3. (Or, English sizes, 12 and 10.)
Gauge: 7 sts=1"; 10 rows=1" (pat).
