Lace Panel Cardigan Knitting Pattern

Lace Cardigan : This pattern contains directions to knit, crochet detail, the cardigan pictured. This design is termed a cardigan, but what a delightful blouse it would make! Vintage 1956, from McCalls Needlecraft, the cardigan is short sleeved with a high neckline, front button panel and pretty lace pattern that runs along the button bands. The pattern, knit in Candour Yarn (substitute), is misses size 12, 14 and 16. The magazine description: " Short sleeved sweater prettied with parallel panels of novelty stitch in lacy leafy pattern. It's casual or dressy according to accessories".

Materials:

• Spinnerin Shrink-Resistant Candour, 3 (3-3-4) 3-oz. skeins.
• Knitting needles Nos. 1 and 2. (Or English sizes 12 and 11.)
• Steel crochet hook No. 2.
• Seven buttons.
• Two stitchholders.
