Knitted Poncho No 586, Martha Madison

Knitted Poncho:   This pattern gives directions to knit the poncho pictured.   The poncho / top is worked in two colors of Sports Yarn and features a buttoned yoke.  This is a one-size pattern fitting 12, 14 and 16. 

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and (Anne Cabot) catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Martha Madison 586 in 1968.

MATERIALS: 1 Pair # 10-#- Knitting Needles (15 ins, long.);   6 Balls of Tweed (sport weight);   5 Skeins of 3 Ply fingering (white)1/2
 skein contrasting ( cc) or Grey Worsted;   3 Buttons or rings (if crochet buttons desired)
