Rosebud Afghan : This pattern contains instructions to knit, crochet edging, the afghan pictured above. And, what a lovely afghan it is ! Vintage early 1960s, from Columbia Minerva, this piece features rows of a cabled pattern and rosebud embroidery, in duplicate stitch, along with triple knot fringe. The finished piece is 51 x 69. Detailed charts for the rosebuds layout is included.
MATERIALS REQUIRED:
- Columbia-Minerva Knitting Worsted (4 oz skein)-14 skeins of Main Color (MC)-Light Green OR Columbia-Minerva Nantuk 4 ply Knitting Yarn (Knitting Worsted size-2 or 4 oz skein)-56 ounces of Main Color (MC)-Light Green AND 4 ozs in each of the colors (color list included) for Duplicate Stitch embroidery.
- Knitting. Needles: 1 pair "Boye" Size 10,
- 1 cable needle
- 1 Steel Crochet Hook Size 2
- 1 "Hiawatha" blunt end tapestry needle
Gauge: 4 1/2 sts to 1 inch; 11 rows to 2 inches.
