Knee Length Coat Knitting Pattern

Les Bouquets Coat: This pattern contains instructions for knitting, crochet detail, the coat pictured. What a unique design; I'm a bit at a loss on who to describe it other than to say it is 7/8 length - just above knee - with front button band, small rounded collar and long sleeves with pleated shoulders. There are slit pockets with a decorative band that runs down to the hemline for a most interesting effect. The pattern, vintage 1960 from Unger, is written for misses size 12, with changes for 14 and 16 in parentheses. This is an intermediate to advance project in Stockinette Stitch.

Materials:

• Unger's LES BOUQUETS 17(18-20) 50 gr balls
• Hero size 7 knitting needles, OR THE SIZE YOU REQUIRE TO OBTAIN THE STITCH GAUGE
• Aluminum crochet hook size D;
• 1/2 yd nylon tulle;
• 2 ¾ yds lining material (optional);
• 6 buttons;
• 1/4 yd Pellon
