Jacobs Ladder Crochet Afghan Pillow Pattern

Jacobs Ladder : This pattern contains instructions for the crocheted afghan and pillow pictured. A brightly colored piece, in three colors, has the zig zag Jacobs Ladder type effect. Almost a ripple, but not really. Although it looks like strips, the set is actually made up of 3 inch square blocks. When joined together, they form the crocheted afghan that is 45 x 63 inches, as well as pillows that are 18 inches square. The design is vintage 1952 from Coats and Clarks.

Materials:

• CHADWICK'S RED HEART KNITTING WORSTED, 4 Ply, Art c.232: 18 skeins (1 oz. “Tangle Proof” Pull-Out Skeins) of No 360 Wood Brown: 16 skeins of No 686 Paddy Green and 13 skeins of No 251 Charlime for Afghan; 6 skeins of Wood Brown, 4 skeins of Paddy Green and 3 skeins of Charlene for Pillow.
• Clark's O.N.T. Plastic Crochet Hook No 5.
• A pillow 18 inches square.

GAUGE: 5 sts make 1 inch; 3 rows make 1 inch.
