Description

No 1063 - Interesting Doily Flares into a Frill:  This pattern gives directions to crochet the doily shown.  "This frilly doily measures about 12 inches across if made of the #30 Cotton. To make a larger doily from these same directions, use heavier thread. More rows of the ch7-loops may also be added to make the frill stand up as much as desired. Of course more thread will be needed, if this is done.

This is a Mail Order pattern, purchased through newspapers and magazines.   This pattern was marketed under the name Needlework Bureau in 1952 as well as Martha Madison.

Material: About 350 yards of #30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a # 12 crochet hook. If heavier cotton is used, this will call for a larger hook in proportion. Choose one that is just right for the thread.
