Heirloom Runner CrochetPattern Design 2116

Heirloom Runner : This pattern contains directions to work the runner shown. This is a lovely runner, worked in filet crochet to full page chart. The central motif features a rose and leaf motif, surrounded by lacy mesh and a diamond rimmed edge. The oblong runner measures 18 x 33 inches.

This is a mail order pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot 2116.  The newspaper description:   "Here is a distinctive runner with full-blown rose filet center and spiderweb border to lend Spring freshness to your table all your around".  The pattern was featured in the Anne Cabot 1955 Needlework Album.
