Girls Cable Jacket Coat Knitting Pattern Design 749

Knitted Coat or Jacket : This pattern contains directions for knitting a girl's cable-trimmed coat and jacket. Worked in Knitting Worsted, the piece can be made at hip jacket or thigh coat length. Both are the same pattern with just the length differing. The pattern is long sleeved with a rounded Peter Pan collar, cabled trimmed yoke with raglan sleeves and cabled front button closure. The pattern is written for girls size 4, with changes for 6 and 8 covered in separate sections.

This is a Mail Order Design Pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 749 in 1965.  The pattern was included in the 1966 Needlecraft Patterns Catalog.
