Flowered Medallion Rug Crochet Pattern Design 1049

Crocheted Rug: This pattern gives directions for crocheting the rug pictured. This lovely flowered rug is simple to crochet. Flower medallions are made and joined. Only a minimum amount of time is required to make a rug 30 x 48 inches.

This is a Mail Order Pattern, purchased through newspapers. The pattern was marketed as Martha Madison E-1049.  The newspaper description:  

Materials:  No. 0 steel crochet hook;  For rug 30"x 48" in solid color, 20 balls cotton rug yarn, or background, 14 balls and 6 balls for flower center in contrast.

Gauge: - 4 stitches – 1". 1 ball of yarn will make approximately 6 squares.
