Flower Pinwheel Crochet Pattern Design 501

Crocheted Doilies : This pattern contains directions for crocheted doilies worked in fine cotton or string. They can be used as luncheon or buffet sets or as odd pieces. The doily design starts with a flower center, surrounded by plenty of mesh and a spiraling pinwheel to the edges. The doily may be worked in three sizes each of small and large depending upon materials used. The small doilies are 10, 12-1/2, and 19 inches, while the larger doilies are 16, 18 and 25 inches in diameter.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and magazines. This pattern would be marketed as Laura Wheeler 501. The pattern was included in the Laura Wheeler 1949 Designs Catalog.
