Description

Filet Crocheted Square: This filet crocheted square can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. When joined together the squares form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs and pillows.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advvertisements.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 2678 in 1940. 

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 7 steel crochet hook or No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 12 steel crochet hook, Each square requires approximately 150 yards of heavy cotton or 92 yards of fine cotton.
