Filet Crocheted Chair Set:  This filet crocheted chair set, made of No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton, may also be used as a buffet set or the chair back may be used as ends for scarfs. The pattern includes a filet chart for the chair back and the arm rest; also instructions describing how the charts are to be used.   The chair back measures 12-1/2 x 16-1/2 inches and the arm rests are 6-1/2 x 10 inches each. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 662 in 1943. 

Materials:  No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton in (150 yard) balls and a No. 12 steel crochet hook;   7 balls of cotton make a chair set or two scarf ends.
