Fancy Pineapple Doilies Mail Order E-1169

Fancy Pineapple Doilies:  This pattern contains directions to crochet the doilies pictured.  Crochet the doilies in two size - small and large (centerpiece).  The small doily is 13 inches and the larger doily is approx. 23 inches in diameter.  

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.   The pattern was marketed as Needlework Bureau (and Ellen Bruce) E-1169 in 1950.

MATERIAL: About 300 yds Mercerized Crochet Cotton #30 to make each small doily; 600 yds to make the large one. Use a #10 steel crochet-hook.   The small doily, thus made, will measure about 13" in diameter; the large one, about 23" in diameter. This is a fine lace pattern. Coarser thread will make larger doilies.
