Evening Star Crochet Medallion Pattern

Evening Star No 200: This pattern contains instructions for crocheting the items shown. The design is round medallions in what is called an "Evening Star" motif. The large medallion is 5 1/2 inches and the smaller medallion is 3 inches. Join the two sizes together to form a tablecloth at 61 x 77, or just the larger medallions for a chair set or a bedspread at 88 x 104. Of course, feel free to venture out and create cloths in combinations and sizes of your choice. This pattern is vintage 1936 from The Spool Cotton Company.

Materials:  J. & P. Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen, White or Ecru, 2 balls for Chair Set, 50 balls for the Bedspread and 25 balls for the Tablecloth.  Milward's steel crochet hook No. 7.

Gauge: One large motif measures 5 ½ inches in diameter and requires about 37 yards of thread. One small motif measures 3 inches in diameter and requires about 14 yards of thread. Large and small motifs are made individually and then sewed together at points.
