Diamond Honey Childs Cardigan Knitting Pattern

Childs Cardigan's : This pattern contains directions for knitting both of the cardigans pictured. The are intermediate to advance patterns that are worked in the Aran Fisherman style of changing pattern stitches. Here we have a great sampler of Cables, Diamonds and Honeycombs. Both sweaters bear the same pattern stitches, long sleeves, front button band and ribbing. The difference between them is one has a ribbed neck and the other a tall notched collar. The design is suitable for boys and girls, with info included on changing the button band.

These directions are for children's small size (4-6). Changes for medium size (8-10) and large size (12-14) are in parentheses.

MATERIALS :

• BERNAT BLARNEY-SPUN (2 oz, balls) — 8 ( 9-9 )
• 1 pair each BERNAT-Aero straight knitting needles Nos. 3 and 6 (Canadian needles Nos. 11 and 8) OR ANY SIZE NEEDLES THAT WILL GIVE THE STITCH GAUGE
• 1 BERNAT-Aero cable stitch needle buttons

GAUGE: 13 sts = 2 inches; 7 rows = 1 inch
