Design 716 Crocheted Pineapple Cape Pattern

Crocheted Capelet : This pattern contains directions for crocheting a pineapple design Capelet - worked in one piece from the neck down of synthetic worsted weight yarn. The design, in addition to the marvelous pineapples, has a raised neck with tie closure and a shell stitched yoke. The caplet is one size, fitting misses 8 to 16.

This is a mail order design pattern, purchased through newspapers and magazines. This pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 716.  "Crochet a cape - so cozy when you want a touch of warmth.  Rows and rows of pineapples topped by open crochet yoke, band collar, a pretty capelet for summer; any season".
