Crocheted Square Pattern for Cloths Spreads

Crocheted Square:   This pattern has directions to crochet the square pictured.   The official 1953 magazine description:  "Crochet motifs to use, in repeat, for a variety of pretty household linens. A dainty square design of No. 20 cotton. Use for an heirloom tablecloth or individual luncheon mats, for bureau scarves, for table or TV top doilies, for chair sets. Make it in sparkling white or in rich ecru".  The finished square measures 3 inches.
