Crocheted Square:  This crocheted square can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. The squares can be joined to form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs and pillows.  Each square measures 10 x 10"

This is a Mail Order Designs pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.   This pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 2018 in 1939.  "Lovely accessories, yours to crochet at budget cost.  They're formed of this easy square of the popular pineapple design". 

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS:   Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook, OR No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook.    Each square requires approximately 115 yards of heavy cotton or 83 yards of fine cotton.
