Crocheted Kitten Toy, Mail Order 2923

Crocheted Kitten:  This cuddly kitten will win any child's heart. Easily crocheted of loop stitches Rnd soft yarn, the kitten is unbreakable and perfectly adorable. NOTE:, Any color scheme desired will do, but grey, white, rust or black are preferable.  The actual size of kitten is not stated. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot 2923 in 1952.   It was also marketed under the Peggy Roberts brand. 

Materials: 10 one-oz. Balls of Saxony Yarn. Bone Crochet Hook #6. Cotton Batting for stuffing. 2 Buttons approximately 1/2" in diameter. 3 White Bristles about 6" long for whiskers (can be obtained from whisk brooms, etc.). Bit of rose and red wool for nose and mouth.
