Crocheted Cluny Centerpiece Doily Pattern

Cluny Centerpiece Doily : This pattern contains directions to crochet the doily shown. And just what is a Cluny? Well, it's an area in eastern France where there was a famous monastery. I would suppose this form of crochet, or perhaps the pattern itself, originated in that area. The crocheted doily design, 17 inches in diameter, is quite a lacy design with scalloped edges all the way around. The pattern is vintage 1940s from Lily Mills.
