Crocheted Bow Slippers No 1223

Crocheted Slippers with Bow:  This pattern gives directions to crochet the slippers pictured. Rug warp or rag scraps are cut in strips and crocheted to create these good looking slippers. The elastic at the back makes them fit snugly, while the bow trimming is just the right finishing touch. Inexpensive and easy to make.   

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Needlework Bureau No 1223 in 1950.  

MATERIALS:  Heavy rug warp or rag scraps cut in 1/2” strips;   No 1 steel crochet hook;   2” piece of 1/2” elastic
