Crocheted Square: This crocheted square can be made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. When joined together the squares form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs, pillows and any number of other household articles. Depending upon materials selected, the square will measure 3-1/2 or 6 inches square. The official newspaper description: "Join the stunning squares to make spreads or cloths that future generations will admire. Same square is repeated throughout. Delightful pick-up work".

- Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton and a No. 8 steel crochet hook, or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton
- No. 12 steel crochet hook.
- Each square requires 47 yards of heavy cotton or 29 yards of fine cotton.
