Description

Swan Centerpiece.   This pattern gives directions to crochet the centerpiece pictured.   This swan features a single pineapple wing on each side and an extended basket area.   An interesting centerpiece to hold candy, keys, etc.   Actual size is not stated, however, reference is given that size can be changed by substituting materials.  

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Parade (Patterns by Pauline) No 620.  

Materials:  DOUBLE QUICK CROCHET COTTON, (8 cord cable twist), 8 -- 125 yd. skeins;   (Note: If desired, bedspread mercerized crochet cotton may be used double throughout);   CROCHET HOOK: Standard Size Steel No. 1;   Cotton batting; hat wire for neck; 2 black buttons for eyes, or black embroidery floss; red felt for beak; Argo starch; spray can of clear plastic paint.
