Description

Crocheted Pinwheel Doily : This pattern creates the square pictured above. This crocheted square worked in the pinwheel design can be made either of No 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton or of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. When joined together, the squares form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs and other household articles. Crocheted in heavy cotton the square can be used as a pillow top or as a doily. The finished squares are 12 x 12 inches.

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspaper advertisementsl  The pattern was marketed as The American Weekly 3099 in 1946.  It was also marketed under the Alice Brooks brands and was offered in the 1985 Needlecraft Pattern Catalog

Materials:   
No 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton;   No 10 steel crochet hook, or Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton;   No 8 steel crochet hook.
