Crochet Pineapple Borders for Linen Doily Design 7059

CROCHETED DOILIES:    This pattern contains directions to crochet the pineapple borders on the doilies displayed.  NOTE:  The embroidery detail is not included.  You may attach to plain linen centers, or embroider any design you choose.  Plain linen, muslin, gingham or a similar cotton material is suitable to use.  

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.   The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7059 in 1944.   

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: DOILIES; 3/8 yard 36 inch material. MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook, The crocheted border for the oval doily requires approximately 700 yards of No. 30 cotton, The border for the round doily requires approximately 200 yards of No. 30 cotton.
