Crochet Oval Table Mat Pattern

No 35 Hot Plate Mat: This pattern gives directions for crocheting the mat pictured. This design, vintage 1945 from Womans Day Magazine, is worked in four colors of Pearl Cotton in an oval shape. Termed both a hot plate mat and table mat. The actual size is not stated. This design is crocheted with two threads throughout.

• J. & P. COATS OR CLARK'S O.N.T. PEARL Cotton Size 5, 3 balls each of White, Steel Blue and Royal Blue, 2 balls of Light Steel Blue
• Steel Crochet Hook No. 2.

GAUGE: 6 sts make 1 inch; 4 rows make 7/8 inch.
