Crochet Flower Basket Chair Set, Mail Order Design 117

Pineapple Chair Set : This pattern contains directions to crochet the chair set shown. Here we have a sweet chair set where the pineapples fill in as a floral display, which is all nestled into a basket. A ribbon tie is woven through the bottom of the basket. This motif would look marvelous framed as well. The chair back measures 10 x 16 inches and the arm rests are 8 x 10 inches each.

This is a mail order pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as Martha Madison 117 in 1957.   

Materials:   2 Large Balls (250 yd.) Mercerized Crochet Cotton No. 20;   Steel Crochet Hook No. 3 (Standard);   3/4 yd Faille Ribbon 1 1/8" wide, desired color.
