Description

Crocheted Chair Set:  This crocheted chair set, made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton, can also be used as a buffet set or the chair back can be used as ends for scarfs. The chair back measures 11 x 15 inches and the arm rests are 9 x 11 inches each. The flower medallions are 3-1/4 inches. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7159 in 1941.

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 7 steel crochet hook.   The chair back requires approximately 210 yards of cotton; each arm rest requires approximately 86 yards of cotton.
