Description

Crocheted Sweater : This pattern contains directions for crocheting the sweater shown. "This snug fitting sleeveless sweater is quickly crocheted in a pretty shell stitch. The embroidered daisies make it colorful. The directions are written for misses size small (32-34). Medium (36) and large (38-40). There are separate directions for each size, which are written 'older' style.

This is a Mail Order pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.   This pattern was marketed as pattern No E-1097 by Needlework Bureau in 1946.  

Materials:   No 00 steel crochet hook;   2 - 4 oz hanks white knitting worsted; About 10 yds red worsted for blossom; About 30 yds blank worstedfor edge and leaves;   Large eyed needle;  6 - dime size ball or flat buttons

Gauge: Work loosely, 3 stitches – 1”
