Description

Crocheted Breton:   That pattern gives directions to crochet the hat pictured.   This is a vintage 1939 rendition of the classic breton hat. (a woman's hat with a round crown and a deep brim that is turned upwards all the way round, exposing the face).   This breton includes a snood to hold long hair in place.  It's an easy crochet pattern. 
 
Materials: 
  • Fleisher's or Bucilla Wafer Repellent Chenille, 5 skeins. 
  • CROCHET HOOK—1 Fleisher's or Bucilla 6-inch White, Size 5.
  • TRIMMINGS: 21-1/2 inches Hat Wire. 31 inches round Elastic.   

GAUGE : 4 sc = 1 inch ; 4 rows = 1 inch
