Description

Crochet Baby Accessories: This pattern contains directions for making a crocheted baby jacket and cap. The yoke and cuffs of jacket and the crown of cap are worked in double crochet; the skirt and sleeves of jacket and the brim of cap are worked to a very simple shell stitch. The ridges are embroidered on in chain stitch embroidery, in a contrasting color, after the crocheting has been completed. The set can be made either of Shetland Floss or of Sports Yarn. Directions are given in a six months size.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 466 in 1942. 

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: 3 (1 ounce) balls of pink Shetland Floss or 2 (2 ounce) balls of pink Sports Yarn, 1 (1 ounce) ball of white Germantown (Afghan) Yarn and a No. 0 steel crochet hook.
