Colorful Patchwork Crocheted Afghan Pillow Pattern

Patchwork : This pattern contains directions to crochet both the afghan and pillow shown. This easy to crochet set has quite an elegant look in earth tones. Or easily change the color to coordinate any decor you may choose. This is, as typical, a crocheted block motif design with each of the blocks being 4 3/4 inches square. Their are both solid blocks, as well as patterned blocks in 6 complimentary colors. These blocks are joined together to form an afghan or throw that measures 50 x 67 inches, or a rather large pillow that is 18 inches square. This crocheted pattern is vintage 1952 from Coats and Clarks.

Materials:   CHADWICK'S RED HEART KNITTING WORSTED, 4 Ply, Art. E.232: 61 skeins (1oz. "Tangle·Proof”Pull-Out Skeins) of No 360 Wood Brown; 5 skeins each of No 253 Tangerine, No 491 Pearl Greay, No 229 Lt Yellow and No 647 Surf Green for Afghan; 10 skeins of No 360 Wood Brown and 1 skein of each contrasting color for Pillow;    Clark's O.N.T. Plastic Crochet Hook No.6;    A pillow 18 inches square.
