Description
Life Guard Boys Cabled Swimming Trunks: This pattern gives directions for the trunks shown. The design goes back to 1948 (Smart Knitting Magazine) and is written for boys size 4, with changes for 6 8, 10 and 12 in parentheses. The trunks are above hip height and reach to upper thigh. They are worked in at attractive cable pattern stitch and have an elastic waist.
MATERIALS :
- Spinnerin Pilgrim (2 oz. ball) 2 (2, 3,3,4) balls.
- Needles : 1 pr. No. 4. 1 set Double point No. 4.
- Elastic for waist.
MEASUREMENTS:
- Waist 21 (22, 23, 24, 25 1/2)".
- Side Seams 7 ½ (8, 9, 9 ½, 11)".
GAUGE : 7 sts=1" 10 rows =1"
