Bible Cover Doily Pattern, Mail Order Design E-822

Bible Cover Doily - Design No  E-822:   This pattern gives directions to crochet the doily pictured.  Officially titled a Bible Cover Doily, the pineapple design features a stately cross in the center.  Not a book cover, but an elegant doily to place your bible atop.   The finished piece will measure 11 inches in diameter.

This is a Mail Order pattern, purchased through newspapers.  This pattern was marketed as E-822 under the name of Ellen Bruce (Needlework Bureau).  "A beautiful cover for a Bible is crocheted.  Made with simple stitches approximately 11 inches in diameter". 

Materials: 

• 1 - 250 yd ball of #30 white mercerized thread.
• #8 steel crochet hook.
