Description
Smocking Stitch Carriage Robe: This pattern contains directions for knitting, crochet detail, the blanket covered. This vintage 1954 pattern is called a carriage robe and was frequently placed over baby carriages, or on laps in inadequately heated cars. In our current times, they are frequently used as small afghans on the couch or lap robes. This is a very easy pattern, knit in smocking stitch with a crocheted edge. The finished robe will measure 28 x 44 inches.

- Chadwick's Red Heart Knitting Worsted. 4 ply, Art. E. 232 (1-oz. Tangle-Proof Pull-Out skein) : 15 sks.
- No. 7 knitting needles.
- No. 7 plastic crochet hook.
GAUGE: 5 sts = 1"; 4 rows = 1".
