Description
Basket Weave Jacket: This 1962 pattern contains directions for knitting the jacket pictured. It is a poor picture, but a rather grand jacket. Just bulky enough, basket weave design in Mohair Yarn. The jacket is loose-fitting, long sleeves, below hip length with front button band and a rather grand shawl collar.
SIZES: Directions for sizes 12-14. Changes for sizes 16-18 in parentheses.
- Body Bust Size: 32"-34" (36"-38").
- Blocked Bust Size (closed) : 40" (44").
MATERIALS:
- Fairknit Mohair, 13 (15) 40-gr. balls.
- 14" knitting needles No. 8. (Or English size 5.)
- Matching sewing thread. 1/8 yard matching taffeta for interfacing.
- Two stitch holders.
- Four buttons.
GAUGE: 7 sts = 2"; 5 rows = 1".
