Rompers: This pattern gives instructions to knit, crochet detail, the rompers pictured. It's hard to look at some of these old patterns and not smile. This is certainly one of them!. This little pair of rompers, more for little girls in appearance, is worked in a block type stitch and has short sleeves, a small notched collar, a button front yoke closure, ribbed waist and leg bands and rubber button crotch closing. This is an intermediate pattern, vintage 1942, that is sure to bring many smiles.
Materials:
- 3 oz. 3-ply fingering wool.
- 2 prs. needles #5 and #3.
- 1 medium size crochet hook.
- 4 small buttons.
- 5 rubber buttons.
Measurements: Length from shoulder to crotch when fastened, 15 ½ ins; Width all around at underarm, 20 ins.; Sleeve seam, 1 ½ ins.
Gauge: With #5 needles, 7 sts.1 inch.
