Description
Argyle Pattern Sheath: This pattern gives directions to knit, crochet edges the dress pictured. This vintage 1962 design is sleeveless with a high round neckline and slightly gathered waist with tie belt. Worked to chart in a combination of of argyle yarn and metallic thread, in a lovely harlequin diamond type motif. There are both a back neck and side zipper closure.
SIZES: Directions for size 12. Changes for sizes 14, 16 and 18 are in parentheses.
- Body Bust Size: 32" (34"-36"-38").
- Blocked Bust Size: 36" (38"-40"-42" ).
MATERIALS:
- Columbia-Minerva Monterey, 17 (18-20-22) 1-oz. skeins ( A ).
- Hiawatha Metallic Thread, 9 85-yd. spools (B).
- Knitting needles No. 2. (Or English size 11.)
- Steel crochet hook No. 5.
- 16 bobbins. Markers.
- 7" slide fastener for neck; 12" slide fastener for side placket.
- Hiawatha Lastex Thread.
- Seam binding.
