Alice Brooks 5768, Crocheted Doilies in 3 Sizes

Crocheted Doilies:  When made of No. 10 crochet cotton, the large doily measures 16 inches in diameter, the medium sized doily 11 inches, and the small doily 6 inches. They may be used for luncheon sets, buffet sets, center pieces or as odd doilies.

This is a Mail Order Design Pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 5768 in 1937. "There an added thrill to luncheon or dinner with a table setting of luxurious looking doilies.  Three practical sizes - 6, 11 and 15 inch circles comprise this exquisite buffet or lunch ensemble.  And, guests will exclaim over the loveliness of the star center pattern.  You'll be astonished at the ease these with which these charming doilies are crocheted".   

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: No. 10 mercerized crochet cotton in (100 yard) balls and a No. 10 steel crochet hook.  240 yards of cotton will make 1 large and 1 medium size doily, 60 yards will make 1 small doily.
