Alice Brooks 7381, Crocheted Square Pattern


Crocheted Square:  This easy-to-memorize square, made of either No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton or String, can be made in a jiffy. The squares will join to form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs, pillows and other household articles.  Depending upon material selected, the squares can be created at 7 or 10 inches.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7381 in 1958.  The newspaper description: "Discover the joy of crochet as a hobby with this easy square - basis of so many accessories. Easy to memorize! Crochet a square a day, soon have enough for an heirloom spread or cloth".
