Crochet Bedspread : This pattern contains directions to crochet the spread shown. As are most, this is a motif spread, with an emphasis on popcorn stitching, made in Bedspread Cotton. Each of the motifs are approx. 6-12 inches across from side to side. It takes 256 motifs for a double spread and 199 for a single spread. This design is vintage 1938, issued in leaflet format, from The Spool Cotton Co.
Materials: J. & P. Coats Bedspread Cotton, 43 balls of White, or 32 balls of Ecru for double size spread; 34 balls of White, or 25 balls of Ecru for single size spread; Milward's steel crochet hook No. 8 or 9.
